Home Runs for Hunger Back for Second Season

Home Runs for Hunger Logo (Small)Many thanks to the Pittsburgh Presbytery for kicking off the second year of Home Runs for Hunger with the start of the baseball season at our own PNC Park.  For every home run hit by the Pirates at home games throughout the season, the Presbyterians will donate $100 or more to the Food Bank to help purchase food for our neighbors in need.

Presbyterians and friends can also circle their calendars for a special home game on Tuesday, July 3rd. If you bring a nonperishable grocery item for the Food Bank to that game, you will receive a $1.00 discount on your game ticket. This game occurs during the week of the Presbyterian Church U.S.A. General Assembly’s national meeting at the Convention Center (June 30 – July 7) – you’ll have lots of good company!

Help the Food Bank and the Pittsburgh Presbytery “hit hunger out of the park”; if your Presbyterian congregation would like to participate, email Gregg Hartung. Check out the Home Runs for Hunger webpage; their Facebook page link is there as well. Thanks to the Pittsburgh Presbytery and to the Pittsburgh Pirates for their support!
